do they know

what she sees

beyond cradle's caress

of trinkets and
tarnish running
wide on the gypsy

in the ground
of her dwelling

postpartum of flower

the sober
reminder

(on the sweep
of the harvest)

to both frame
and revival

to where
do they go

in the cadence
of color

the avalanche
brewing

on this first night
to nowhere
