Natures Time To Sleep

Listen! you can hear them,
the whispers on the wings of the storm
There is no need to fear the wind
it brings the new breath for us to live.

When the sky falls into clouds of gray,
and the light of the sun is masked from view
Darkness brings the cold and the rain
as apples fall to the ground ripe from the tree.

Autumn is approaching now-
fast and without remorse for the summer
Nature has decided it is time to sleep
and nothing or no one can stop the onslaught.

Green leaves turn to soft yellow, some to fiery red,
and then to the death of decaying brown
falling to the ground as the future build foundation
for all eternity to rest upon natures bed.

Annie, your gracious pen must have written this lovely fall poem with ink of pure autumnal gold.

May your fall be a happy one!
