Beneath this roof still echoes loom And carry memories room to room The remnants of a family face Still frozen on a fireplace But attic spaces steeped in gloom Still sing a sweet nostalgic tune Beneath this roof Beneath these eaves I am consumed By Christmas times and summer Junes Allow me just a slower pace To breath in scents of time and space Of nurtured dreams that grew and bloomed In little nooks, in little rooms Where simple truth can be exhumed Beneath this roof |

Liz, the Rondeau is one of my favourite poetic forms to both read and write. You have done a masterful job of writing this one. Not only is the form impeccable, the warmth and nostalgic beauty of your words radiate right off the page. Love to you, dear poetess! Linda |

Wonderful! Love the rhyming lines which seem to be disappearing these days and love the way you make it look so effortless. Jan |
