The Peace of the Woods |

Through the woods I walk The cool green mistress of the land. The soaring trees that grace the land and bring the soul to peace. My footsteps fall without a sound. Their echoes muffled by the forest ground and the deep green moss. The shifting trees move on the wind. Singing melodies as old aa the Earth. My heart stops; skips a beat. The beauty and serenity of the woodlands penetrates my heart. My heart, once restless, once aching, once broken. My heart has found peace. |
