Old Bones is;
well;
old.

He no longer looks like
the young Bones.

He’s no longer “pretty”.

He’s still thin,
just a bag of Bones.

However, the strong,
rock hard six pack
is a little soft
and paunchy.

If he tried to
rent himself out,
he’d get no takers.

It’s good that Bones
can do other things.

Bobby

LOL, we all get soft eventually,
except Jack LaLane! Have you seen him selling his juicer on TV? He looks great!
Good thing we still have some other talents to share.
Hug Bones gently so he doesn't break!

Thanks dear Kacy,

For your kind words.  I'm afraid I haven't noticed the juicer guy you talk about.

I'll always hug Bones gently, we're inseparable.

Well, I'd say that if Bones still has a six-pack ~ even if it is soft, that's still something to be proud of at his 'old' age! lol

It's so good to hear about Bones again out here on the wind swept plains of Nebraska where very few people live.
There is nothing in the Enquirer about him.
It's good that you people in Philly keep up with his doings.
But what of Joseph and Mary? Do they like the church?
To quote Mr. Dickens in David Cooperfeild, "More please, sir."

Hey Bobby,

I am so glad that you are back.  I'll take Bones without his 6-pack and love him just the same.  He's one heck of a guy and doesn't need to rent himself out anyway. There's not enough money to make it worth his time.

Thanks dear Linda,

Yes, the six pack is still there, although it's been in hiding for a number of years.

Thanks GBride,

Yes, Mary and Joseph love the church.  It wouldn't matter if they didn't, they'd still have to go.

Hi Bobby, it's great to be back but I was very dissappointed to see that you haven't

been feeding Bones while I have been away.
You had better pull your socks up old cobber and give him a decent feed.

Yo LindsayP,

Thanks for your concern for the welfare of Bones.  Bones is now very fortunate food-wise.  He no longer walks around the hood, looking in windows, and watching other people eat--thank God for that.  He no longer does garbage cans either.

Thanks Prasad,

I'm pleased that the poem worked for you.  You're right, hard work does pay in the long run.  No matter what kind of work it is.  Bones always worked hard.

A touch of fragility and softness makes us more human I guess. Good to know you are fine, dear Bobby.

Bones will use his skills as a writer and Poet and share his wisdom too. And that's sure something to be proud of.

Thanks Bill,

For reading and for your kind words.  It's good to be back.

Yes, Bones is getting old, and softening up I'm afraid.  It happens to all of us.

Hopefully he will feel all better soon.

Thanks Yann,

You have nailed the truth.  It's all defiantly a narrow one way street, and making "U" turns are always against the law.

I'm pleased that the poem worked for you.

Dear, sweet Bobby,

It IS good that Bones can do something else now. And it shows the good character that we all know he has.

My God! You must be proud with what 30 comments. Bones does have his friends though, doesn't he. You have built up quite a following.
My character "Cain" is still in a Las Crusis bar trying to pick up a motorbike. I'll have him out soon though.
