Love on A French Train Why did she have to be so beautiful, her smile so wonderful? I don't know for sure, but perhaps to attract my attention... Where was she going, with her long black hair flowing everywhere? Perhaps back to an Art Academy in Paris, perhaps the one located on the very same street where I live in Paris... Why had I never seen this magnificent woman before? She was not actually from France, perhaps Brussels or Amsterdam. Or did we share some glances on the French Riviera... What were her intentions when she brushed against me, even though I was minding my own business reading the latest Michelle Malkin's book? Her smile was like a thousand words... Will the scent of her perfume follow me home, the softness of her skin leave me alone when I arrive home or will she linger into my dreams well past midnight? JamesLee 06September 2009 |

The title pulled me having lived in Europe for many years and having riden those wonderful trains! I love this kind of poem when the poet tells about someone he is watching in an everyday type situation and wonders what the story is behind the face. Just wonderful! Jan |

Sounds like one very sophisticated lady James Michel. Too bad things didn't work out for you to introduce youself. I know, a person doesn't want to seem pushy. I think we should run this write up to the top of the chart for somemore comments. |

I think you are a bit of a dark horse young James, I thought there were plenty of lovely ladies in Hawai and now you are trying to sneak one from some poor Frenchman but I enjoyed your tale. Lindsay |
