What Mr. Smith Had to Say |

I simply wish to say, I stay out of the honeybee’s way. And since I cause it no delay, it quickly flies far away. It does what it loves to do, gathering nectar and pollen too And then return back to its hive, causing the colony to survive. At its job it works quite hard, and won’t attack unless it’s jarred, Or pinched, or jabbed, or bashed, or otherwise have its body crashed. It’s clearly not up to me to divine the purpose of the honeybee. All it wants is just to work, but it has this one odd quirk: It won’t take any money, for the making of the honey. It only wants another flower, to resist it has no power. With us it shares its wealth, for the benefit of our good health. And it tastes good too, thus, I have no clue, Why it serves us so, why is it? I just don’t know. Its beneficial history it to me a mystery. Did God design this creature with so clever a feature? Or did Mother Nature do the job in design she is no slob. Now that I am eighty eight I cannot keep them straight. |

Oh, i learned some scary stuff about honeybees. Apparently they mean a great deal to our survival. No bees, no vegetables, means, no animals, means no us. Well, you learn something new everyday! Enjoyed this write. Bittersweet. ARCTIC WIND |

What a 'sweet' poem! I'n a honey lover! ~ Raw,organic honey! The benefits are quite remarkable. For your interest, here is the link to a site that lists 10 of the major benefits of honey mixed with cinnamon. I use organic cinnamon as well. I purchase my honey and cinnamon at a health food store. http://healthmad.com/alternative/10-miraculous-health-benefits-of-honey-and-cinnamon-combo/ Enjoyed your honey of a poem! 'Bee' well, Linda |

This is wonderfully written and I love the message that "Mr. Smith" brings across ... We better quickly find a way to let them do their work in peace, otherwise our future looks blank in the most dramatic sense. Continuous growth of pollution and other human interferences make the bees "lose their mind". I fear their sting of course, but I love the honey. Will check out that site, dear Linda. Honey with cinnamon? Will try that! Great job, GBride! Love, Margherita |

Yo GBride, You did excellant work with the bees. When I lived in the country, I had about ten hives. I used to sell a lot of honey. Bobby |
