Some things last forever,
Or seem to do at least,
Like sunlight setting in the west
And rising in the east;
The rocks that lie beneath us,
Mountains, Volcanoes;
The sky in omnipresence;
The ocean and her flows.

But our lives are much quicker,
Not so long for the earth,
Our time is as an arrow
With a target set from birth.
Yet still there lies a jewel
In the space mid you and me,
That sparkles in the star-lit glow
Of all eternity.

I really enjoyed the ending a lot. The perfect way to end this delightful read. A definite sparkle in the eye. Oh, and I see you're new here! Well welcome to Pip! You are going to love it here if not already.

Welcome aboard the pip ship, Innse Gall!
I trust that you will enjoy sailing these blue seas as much as I do!

Your poem has many memorable lines in it. Here are a few of my favourite ones ~

"Some things last forever,
Or seem to do at least,
Like sunlight setting in the west
And rising in the east;"

"Our time is as an arrow
With a target set from birth."

Giving you a warm, welcoming pip hug,

Earth Angel
