That you would hold me Take my hand beside the stream See within my deepest grieving Turn it all into another dream More than friendship will discover What secrets our eyes have kept To still the hand that trembles Joy issues from where once was wept Voices soft in the sharing A minute without is far too long Taste the sweet heat of longing Given in to a bond that is strong No harm will come to you in this way Angel arms will comfort with a smile A warm breath on lips of love That was there all the while That you would hold me Heal all the torment I describe Smooth the aching waters Of the endless ocean inside |
