Looking for kindred heart I walked so bold. Wandering like a child, yet so old. Tears welled up and lapped the sides of a tired wounded pride; choked back by fear in laughters dark disguise. Through glitter unbecoming I walked alone. Tho' the number, disconnected, I'd dial the phone, and try to hold a conversation with the promise of sensation and find myself just standing in the cold. Always speaking the language of a soul so hurt and angry; striking out at nothing but the pain. Trying so hard to hold on to the voice that sang a song; now stifled by the sound of pouring rain. Then like a quiet dreamless sleep you filled the space. In a heart empty and void you took your place. And to this lifeless mask of death, gave your sweet undying breath, and gently etched your smile upon my face. Now in your beauty, oh so deep, I drown myself. In a love that's so complete I lose myself. And like my soul has long imagined I give in to your sweet magic, and embrace your heart; captured by your spell. I kept wondering why that frisbee kept getting bigger and bigger....and then it hit me. |

I'm glad you found true love in the end. Sometimes it is a long journey. A very beautiful poem and much enjoyed. Heart2Heart |

David~ Loved this poem....likeminded souls are hard to find...and a lifetime isn't long enough to be with them! ~ARH |
