Weary willows hang low, weeping; sweeping teardrop leaves on the understanding grass. Oaks and maples are calling; falling summer leaves on wind, understanding pain. ______________________ I usually don’t write about nature…was sitting by the pool a couple of weeks ago and started listening to these trees. Of course…they were sad…lol : ) . flesh, blood, bone, love...twisted |

Well, my Brown-eyed beauty, I DO write about trees. I am a tree-hugger from way back. Perhaps back to my Celtic days! ![]() ~ and I must tell you, dear poetess, that your poem spoke to me on such a deep level, that I literally have tears in my eyes. ~ and I mean "LITERALLY". Not only are your brown eyes beautiful, your spirit is, as well. ![]() ![]() Linda ![]() |

Only very sensitive people hear the conversations of the trees and are able to write so beautifully abut it, Shellie. Ida |

this is not about nature, it is about you, nature is merely your voice |

.... sounds like the season's change had a bit of a bark to it. : ) I would have been listening more to the lapping of water refreshing what is left of this Summer's burn! Ct |

<---- LOVES , LOVES, LOVES this piece! Sometimes I think the trees (as well as all nature) understands what we as a society are doing to our world, I know that wasn't the inspiration for this piece, but it is what it brought to mind for me personally. Beautiful piece of writing in such few words, now THAT takes talent. |

I like your tree conversations - sad as they may be. They still sing a song that mesmerizes me. Thank you for delving into nature. xoxoxo A |

I needed to respond again as I sat yesterday in my yard in the afternoon watching the leaves begin to change color and fall in the gentle breeze. The weeping willow (planted for my sister) bending and swaying. ![]() M |
