amber setting sun,
gentle winds blow in
And stir me about.

memories,
like leaves,
rustle
despite my attempts
at burning,

they flit and float about
on this cool fall day.

I don't know about you, but memories come to me with no reason. Just all of a sudden one pops up. Is that what you are writing about: the memories rustling like leaves. I've read and commented on your stuff before and I will be doing so again. You always have something interesting to think about.

Short but very descriptive. I love it. Its what I am trying to do these days since I tend to write long.

Very well said, dear Yoinn.

Memories are of a very resistant matter I would say.

My opinion is that a mark of a good poet is one who can say a lot with only a few words.

"memories,
like leaves,
rustle
despite my attempts
at burning," --you definitely accomplished that here.
