Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2009-08-19 05:00 PM

Golden streams of sunshine beam,
through different trees of change,
dark greens turning to chesnut brown,
a happy reminder once again,

That it is that time of year,
cozy, warm, snuggle time,
scents of spices,
a soft chill in the air,

Then suddenly the magic appears,
colors pop out of no where,
bright oranges, yellows, deep reds,
natures' art, earth canvas.

Soft, cascading winds,
winds of color blow,
filled with leaves,
little pieces flowing,

Falling upon the earths' floor,
quilting a kaleidoscope tapestry,
blanketing the bare ground,
in celebration of autumns' arrival.

As I stand inside this wind,
my thoughts take me to wishes,
hopes and dreams of months ahead,
a new season of life,

How blessed I am to live in a place,
where I get to see all four of them,
each as they come and go, like a friend,
each bringing something new, a change.

But for now, this moment, I inhale,
all the wonders of fall, the magic,
all that this season brings,
as I stand inside these colorful winds...

I love the Fall, the color changes and the scents. But right now in Northeastern PA, we seem to have finally gotten summer!!!
Very hot days with sudden flooding from wild late afternoon thunderstorms.

An enjoyable read, ARH, but I wanted to tell the lady in the bottom photo to run for cover, she looks like she's about to be caught up in a tornado. LOL

a fine 'write' of transience and seasonality!

I am especially fond of that image of:

"quilting a kaleidoscopic tapestry"

serious applause for this 'penning' !!

Now that is just so gorgeous ARH ! And the picture delightful.  Yes I was discussing the same with a friend the other day, how fortunate we are to live in places which see the shifting seasons, because many can't.

Wonderful flow of words, dearest ARH! ~ I love the autumn season and you know I do. So, of course I was going to love this so much Can't wait for colors to start to appear, it seems that Pip has been starting to change seasons as well.

Very beautiful, Millette.

There's a magic in every season. I find autumn is time for the magic of memory, with all its joys and sorrows. The magic of being able to stand between the times of life and death, love and grief, prosperity and ruin, and to see all.

And all the roads that I've been strolling down... now I've found they all seem to be marooned. So profoundly doomed.
