Yellow Window I rub my eyes And sigh so deep This bare light bulb casts Ugly shadows The floor is cold On bare feet The past sits naked In the corner crying. In this cell of Society, In a forgotten basement The clock repeats over and over Just how lonely I am. Feet walk by the yellow window Sunshine, filtered by the stains. I hug my knees And bang my head in a dream Without an end. My hair, matted with dust Teeth, hurt and rot. My heart, struggles to remember Why it needs to beat. Inside my eyes, Your smile, Holding me and saving my life. |

"My heart, struggles to remember Why it needs to beat." I love it. Those lines relate to so many people. Rileigh |
