I covered myself in darkened mud grease from joints of yours. Welded in patches to fix your broken limbs. Fought with you, and you told me there wasn't any way I could win. I always won because you gave me amber drops of metallic hope. You told me, there wasn't any way I could win. But I've always won at least this far. __________________________________ Bad Habits. Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been restoring a jeep. I have to get it done before I go back (finally) to school this year, as it's my only vehicle. I'm loaning a car from a friend in the meantime. Not really enough time to breathe, let alone post on pip. I have at least 7 more 8-12 hour days to finish it up. I love my dog, and my truck. It's that simple, really. |

"Because you gave me amber drops of metallic hope" Great line! Good luck on the Jeep repairs....sounds like a greasy messy job. |

Hey! It's all good as long as you return. I like the poem and like the life in it. I feel like I am peeking in on you again. Maybe I am. Thank you for cleaning the garage window .. makes it so much easier to see you, Paul. A |

Ack! I had to put on my welder's helmet (is that right?) to see the pic. Sheese, thought you were trying to blind me. I want to take a class to learn how to weld. I could weld doo-dads on people's cars who park too close to me. The Mad Welder Wanna Be |

Alison, I hear its colder in MN than in AK. Is this true Viking? There are a lot of former Minnesotans in Fairbanks. I love the idea of welding doo-dads. Will you have oinga-boinga moveable-eye thingies attached? |

Alwye... Thanks. I've put in a lot of time, and it will be worth it in the end. Alaboo... Yep. I getcha. Midnite... It gets as cold as -40 or -50 without the windchill. With windchill it gets rather horrifying. I love my dog, and my truck. It's that simple, really. |

Moveable eyes would be great on those thingamajiggie doo-dad whatchamacallit thinges. Great idea, Kacy. And, yep on the cold thing. I love watching the Today Show and seeing it's colder in MN. That's a great cosmic joke. xoxoxo A |

Good stuff. Midnitesun caught the best lines. Metal work can be very gratifying and restoration is work for the soul; may she run forever! |

Ramisf... Thanks. In my cover? Icebox... Thank you. I hope the old girl can take the abuse she'll get after the project is over.... 6.25" lift, 31x10.5x15 tires, and a whole lot of wheeling with the boys up north. The rear shackle mounts are a bear to figure out how to machine with regular tools. I am scratching my head a lot lately. I love my dog, and my truck. It's that simple, really. |
