              GOULASH  on  PERPOSE
                    By  Billie  Cullimore

  Recipe:

             My sister called it Goulash.
My daughter don't like the appearance.
Son, Tracey thinks it's pretty good.
I call it (End of the week Clearance.)

It starts with Sunday Pot Roast,
           Or chicken---It just depends.
There'll be plenty left for a sandwich.
But hang on to that bony end.
                   Save It.

         Monday, Spaghetti and meat balls.
Way too much to throw out.
           Steamed Broccoli and oregano.
            That's what it's all about.
                   Save It.

Tuesday, baked potato and Pork chops.
Pork gravy is Oh! so good.
         Buttered green beans with Almonds.
         Keeping left overs is understood.
                   Save It.

Wednesday,  we ate Macaroni and cheese.
Probably made a little too much.
Wieners were gone in a hurry.
Baked beans were an added touch.
                  Save It.

       Thursday, was chicken, rice cassarole.
With peas and carrots on the side.
There's always pleanty for every one.
So, the dog you don't have to hide.
                  Save It.

Friday, was always Bread sticks and Pizza.
Very seldom was there any left.
But, Brad had a date that night.
So, what do we do with the rest?
                  Save It.

Saturday, time to clean out the fridge.
Toss it all in a pot on the stove.
Add a large can of stewed tomatos.
Don't forget all the stuff that you froze.

What about the left over Pizza?

Cut it in bite size peaces
          they'll think it's dumplings.

Serve Hot in soup bowls with hot baking
powder biscuits and ice cold milk.

                    Enjoy.

Brad called. "Mom, did you know that Tracey
       makes Goulash on perpose?"

Yo dear Billie,

Yes, this sounds just about right.  Good cooking.

OK,  just to clear things up (a bit)
I didn't know all that stuff was in there.
Your favorite response when we asked what is this was; " What wont fatten, will fill.

What I make is kind of a stew with fresh ground beef, mixed veggies, stewed tomatoes, and macaroni and cheese, (make it first, then blend in the rest)

I don't care what anybody says,  That's good food,  But then, I learned from the best.  (and, yes, I call it Goulash)

Loved the poem.
Tracey.

I like your writing better than your recipes.
