(Balladeer’s Challenge: Give me a poem, style your choice, which contain the names of the following: 2 birds 2 colors 2 veggies 2 meats 2 articles of clothing Shouldn't be any problem, right? Oh, one more thing. The names you use of the following must have a different meaning than the above classifications. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Taking Lessons We two, Jean and I, Clarinetists on the rise, Took lessons in the city, Had our teenage ties (seventy’s halter tops) Neither of us had dated But heard of those who did, We Chicks, cognizant of the bases But not of where the “shortstop” lived! Our love lives were “The Pits” to tell When asked of our good times The mocking birds jeered at us, Naive of sexual climes. (blushing faces easily red) Many cruised the drive-ins, Giving Falcons extra spinnage, Green, they looked at us, When we turniped in Mustang (64) vintage. Their eyes once had pigeon-holed The perfect size and date, Yet, were over-hauled by my auto, Haltered deer with carismatic bait. ~miscellanea~ |

Egads! Gadzooks! What a brain-teaser! The first part of the challenge sounded do-able, but then Balladeer threw in that twist! Well, it is apparent to me that your cranium does callisthentics, rather well! Have a great day! Love 'n a hug, Linda |
