this is really beautiful Alison and it gives back their place to elements of universe, I can't conceive that temperatures of some stars or others are 1 000 000 celsius, When I think that water boils at 100° and it is hot...Thanks for the beautiful and inspiring poem. yann |

Lasky Girl, I APPLAUD you for this magnificent post! ~ Everything about it! Powerful, majestic, gripping, breathtaking ... and terrifying! ~ But as you so adroitly pointed out, no matter what befalls the land, sea, sky ~ or us ~ the sun will continue to shine on! Love 'n Sun, Linda |

yann, Thank you so much. I love that you stop in and read. hugs to you, Alison - Maureen, What a lovely thing to say! Thank you. I corrected the typo - why, oh why, do I fail to use spell check. I had to redo the entire thing - which means changing things. Some I like - and some I don't. Thank you again. Alison - Thank you, vandana. - Linder Lou, I love you and thank you too. You always make me smile and feel good inside. xoxoox Alison |

Hey Allison, Your poem has nice imagery! Painted beautiful pictures in my mind. You asked me what some of my other poems were. I have some in this forum (I moved them...) (Her pain my pain, candle of my life, feeling bald,) Maybe you could tell me what you think? Back you your poem, absolutely beautiful, the picture goes really well. Keep it up! Impressive picture and words to match, that really "burn" the skin for their intensity. I am so sorry for the trees, the wildlife ... the landscape. Love, Margherita |

You caught the moment here so well Alison and as you say there are so many powers stronger, hotter and more intense than what we really know. I hope you are safe my friend, we have had the fires first hand here, just scary. Loved the picture and your expression here, take care my friend. Rick |

Rileigh, Thank you so much for the kind comment. I'll be sure to look up your poems in the teen section. Alison - There's good and bad to wild fires here. The good is it creates animal habitats by clearing the way for new growth. I think that a lot of the animals and birds have time to move on before the fire overcomes them. The downside is ... burn areas are ugly for a time, but think of the beautiful fireweed that grow in them! That's a positive. And the smoke is hideous. Love you, Margherita. xoxoxo Alison - I'll drink to that with you, Karou! For sure! Alison - Heather, Thank you for your persistance. I am glad that I didn't disappoint! You are a dear to stop in and comment. xoxoxo Alison - Rick, I am safe. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I know that this is pretty close to your heart, memories and sight right now. I think if you. Alison - Sue, You are a beautiful person. Thank you. Alison |

Dear Alison, that is a magnificent picture with wise words to match, but the very mention of forest fires makes me tremble, for we have some of the worst bush fires that are beyond imagination. Tragic. Love to you dear Lady. Lindsay |

Dear Lindsay, I have often thought of the wildfires that Australia has experienced this last year and in the past. It's sad to think of the loss and heartbreak and - yes, terror. I am lucky in that our fires may be close, but the areas are still pretty remote. That is not to say that there is no threat to life and property - there always is, isn't there. It's just not as populated here. I think of you often. Love, Alison |
