My sanity took a trip and left me here It would. We talked about this Running away is no way to solve problems Communication is the key I didn’t even know things were off! I thought things were good I was happy… But my sanity took a trip and left me here It never calls, it never writes… I’m starting to get nervous Is it gone forever? Is it ever coming back? Has it found another? Maybe someone with more stable career plans I bet their tires are fully pumped too I’ll get around to it… So my sanity took a trip and left me here To document the scenario In rambling lines… No real form… Just thoughts to get out, like it’s something to do I’m like a cat with a laser point just out of reach Frantically desperate and not entirely sure why… And I’m not entirely sure why I’m convinced That my sanity took a trip and left me here But it did. oh_ok, I really liked your poem. A lot. It got me thinking... and responding... I think sanity is a little over-rated sometimes. It's kind of like procrastination---Sometimes, it feels good to put off Sanity for a while! You're title has stumped me though, as I think Artful!
