For love... Echoes Breathless heartbeats chime signalling vast distances separating bliss Yearning Love is when I miss the scent of your sacred skin on my fingertips Lingering Eternity is the time between our kisses still tasting your lips A Toast When drunk together our love is a single word-- intoxication Giving In a wistful moan gasped by your quivering lips my soul is fulfilled ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Invitation Like a rose that blooms to receive the sun-drenched sky your fragrance draws me Swan Lake Just as mist rising waltzing on a chrystal pool your eyes exude love Illuminated Only in the light cast by your revealing love is my purpose seen Indelible The blank tablet of my as yet, unwritten soul takes form with your words Rhythm With the rise and fall of perfect breasts as she sleeps I count my blessings Hope When it's cast against The backdrop of our union life holds sweet promise Completion The joy of my heart is not found in who I am but in who we are ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Whispered The greatest of poems the sweetest sound that's breathed is my name on your lips Snapshot Those fleeting moments so few, and passing swiftly recalled by your image Forgiveness A reckless moment redeemed by a simple phrase... the words, "I love you" Aspects If the tranquil sea represents my boundless love you're her white capped waves Reconciled The gentle rain falls watering the thirsty soil so, storms have purpose |

My thanks, Martie. When I read the definition of a Haiku as being a love poem by Japanese men to their women, I chose to honor the tradition and wrote only of love. ·´~`·»Garapan«·´~`· |

Thank you BrownEyes. I wrote this as a series of 5-7 and 5 sets to mirror the syllables and are likely to be the only 17 haiku's I will ever write, so I'm glad to know (with yours and these other fine peoples help) that I made them count ·´~`·»Brett«·´~`· |
