Upon defiant rocks break early twilight waves, broken shells losing pride hissing on these ancient sands; piled jetties slow the ride. I watch red setting sun bend shadows through a mist floating just above rip of evening's tide. warm salt spray sprinkles my lips I wade through the waves engulfing my hips arm held high caressing the tide as I find my way back home in sea's sigh. (Sounds like yours was lovely too.) |
