Summertime music is touching whispered wish of leaves, with harvester's footfall tenderly trapping tomatoes, and snapping the corn from its stalk as the breeze across the wind chimes settles on the lolling, heavy breathing dog. I am listening to this choir as children on the sidewalk shriek past the sun-stripped yard, passing the open window where music leaks and cucumbers pile up and are gift-wrapped in paper bags. -------------------- Meaning: 1. A song of praise. 2. A song, poem, or other expression of profound joy, gratitude, or triumph. |

Hi Martie, good to see you. I just wish it would stop raining long enough here for our gardens to ripen~~ A lovely read, especially: "touching whispered wish of leaves," M |

Well this is a treat. Two poems from you today! I am copying what you wrote in your reply to your "Seraglio" poem, for othe readers to read. "I've been gathering words that are not used often, some of them very beautiful both in sound and meaning, and making poems in their honor." Well, m'dear, please keep on gathering and creating these little poetic gems from them! Linda |

I'd know you anywhere, P, by your critiques, but still was unsure because of your change of name. Thanks for taking of your mask for a moment, and you're welcome. I've always appreciated you. |
