Because of what Bones does to live, some people could get the idea he’s some sort of fairy-cake punk. Such is defiantly not the case. Bones is not a bully, and he’s not chicken either. When called upon, Bones will fight, although he doesn’t ever want to. He knows there’s no money in it. Bobby |

Is this part of an earlier poem? We don't know what Bones does to live. Is it illegal? Or dangerous? Or both? Can you tell us without betraying a confidence? Great Poem. I wish I had written it. |

Thanks GBride, Bones is a young boy prostitute. It's based on two old childhood friends of mine, one of which is long dead, and the other living, and doing well. Bobby |

Hi Bobby There are much better ways of settling an altercation than having a fight. It sounds like Bones has learned this. take care. Lindsy |

Thanks Lindsay, Yes, he has learned that lesson. As you might imagine, he learned it the hard way. He was a mess after his first fight. Bobby |

Thanks Yoinn, I'm pleased that the poem worked for you. Some people just won't fight. One of my sons is that way. He's a math genius, and is now a math professor. He was raised in the hood. The hood is a very rough place. Whenever anyone wanted to fight with him, he would just look at them, and sneer "I'm not fighting with you." It always worked somehow. Bobby |

I admire your son, the math prof, who wisely refuses to fight and gains respect, not because there is no money in it, but because there are ways to solve problems in a less violent way, i.e. TALKING. This said, you just reminded me of a tremendous fight I had in my teenager years. He was bigger than me, but he had beaten a little boy, and my anger gave me such strength that I jumped on him like a tiger and he was defeated, screaming repeatedly "stop it, I will apologize" .... My brother was proud of me, when the story got around! Thank you. Love, Margherita |

Thanks Bill, You’ve got Bones figured out. Taking care of business is what Bones is all about. There’s no room for errors. Bobby |
