An ethereal touch to this one, dear Bill. You reminisce so lovingly, I am captivated also very much by the delightful presentation. Would love to roll on those sparkling snowfields to cool off! Love, Margherita |

On Meeting Remembering that very first time, as I waited for the unknown, when you came out walking towards me, while I stood in thought, all alone... Wondering how truth would appear allowing its hold to agree that the time we would spend together was the beginning of whatever could be... Laughing, as words made each comfortable, enjoying the mood we would share, wishing that time could be halted for there was so much more to compare... But our lives would lead us elsewhere and two hearts would go separate ways. As we left with a parting of kisses, reminiscing the touch of lips' graze. Years passed till work brought you eastward with a meeting of hearts, second chance. Knowing we'd remember forever the eyes that said all with each glance. To this day, I can say that I miss you and still think of what we might have had. Though its there in my memory, holding, those thoughts, happy ones, never sad. M |

A sweet tender poem Bill and what lovely memories to have. The older we grow often that is the only thing we have left, our memories. Take care my friend. Lindsay |

Yo Bill, Where does one go to find these “hearts of lace and chiffon”? We would never admit to them here in the hood. Nice poem. Bobby |

Margherita - your comments are always very generous, thank you... Ericc - appreciate your reply... Yoinn - I'm glad the words brought you into the writing... Maureen - words to cherish from a softer heart... Bluesy - alwasy nice to share with the Blues One... Lindsay - yes, as we grow older there are many memories to reflect... Oklahoma Rose - I feel very lucky that I was able to write this for someone dear... Bobby - perhaps if you were to admit to them in the 'Hood', one would be amazed. Then again, if you were to leave the 'Hood' for a while one could see what the rest of the world has to offer... Ida - always nice to reminisce about touching past thoughts... Yann - I also have regrets... BC |

Bill, I know a man who remembered a girl from a dance they had both gone to years ago. He was divorced, his children grown, but she came into his thought and he looked for her maiden name in the phone directory out of the blue one day. He found her, still single and alone. They got together and married 30 some years later! I guess we never know what part of ourselves, in moments, impact for a lifetime. Thank you for sharing this tender treasure of your own grand heart. Love can return like a boomerang and when we least expect it. ~ Even decades after the memorable last encounter. Circumstances change. We change. Life is one circuitous journery with many surprises! You penned a lovely memoire, Bill. Light, and Lost Loves, Linda |

Yo Bill, I was thinking of beaten egg whites, not the cloth. I think of food a lot, and I like lemon chiffon pie. That makes mores sense, and I didn't even have to leave the hood. Bobby |

Well, I almost missed this one and happy that I did not. A little journey that took you to many places, far away and near. Great poem! Jan |
