What’s in it for Me? |

What’s in it for Me? This love will last forever, They promised each other that day, For their feelings were strong and true, They would always keep it that way, But time can change one's feelings, And the strong can bend and break, You give and take, what you think you should, Though, sometimes, you give less than you take, A partnership needs perfect balance, Both parties must agree, To always give “One Hundred” percent, It’s the only way to succeed, If you both give with out worrying, How much in return you get back, Your cup will never be empty, And the partnership will stay on track, Because, when you give with out getting, Soon your desire to share will burn out, Your heart gets tired and empty, The outlook of that love is in doubt, So remember this one little notion, When you expect more than you’re willing to give, If all you think is; “what’s in it for me”, There is no way your relationship can live. I like how you share your thoughts - and I guess the answer (in my mind) is growth. You grow as a person and a man or woman. A |

Hi! Hon. I haven't been on here for a week or so I've been so busy with the D.U.P. (Daughters of the Utah Pioneers) I am capton of my camp and sec/tres. of the company. I was in Salt Lake last Sat. but was with a group of other ladies. I just got chance to read this great poem, it is so true and I think you have a lot to say, keep up the good work. call me if you can catch me I'd love to hear from you. Love & stuff Mom |

Not only is this a beautiful poem, but it is so true. Both parties must be willing to give as much as he/she is willing to take. A onesided relationship rarely ever lasts very long. |

really enjoyed this write. I have to agree... selfless love seems to be the most rewarding anyway, isn't it beautifully ironic? |
