A Click Clack Journey Goodbye fingers Tap yellow windows Scenery is slow to go by Her promise waves her hand With memories pocketed A kiss on a cross Life’s options whisper In lonely ears A click clack journey Into hills of stories With only a writers Eye to preserve it all With a single step He stumbles into His lessons of Life, love and loss. Five years he listened For the bullet that sang his name. All the beauty, He left behind in the train smoke. A click clack journey Through yellow windows Her promise and a cross Waves his hand. Simply amazing. I'm quite fond of writing train poems myself. |

thank you martiniat8 Trains have a certain appeal to me too. I grew up not to far from a railroad track and many times watched the train go by and i would dream up stories about its travel. Yoin Just reworked my old poetry page. Check it out before geocities takes it down. Yoin |

Thank you Alison, I just sat down yesterday and started free forming it, using my right brain to write and this came out. I didn't even know it was a train poem until the stanza. lol Yoin Just reworked my old poetry page. Check it out before geocities takes it down. Yoin |
