Don't let this silence grow between us Let his corridor end Because I would rather not have a lover And keep you as my friend. After all that's passed between us I think it's time we're through Because I just can't keep pretending That I am close to you. A distance is a distance No matter how near or far Just because you have a rocket Doesn't mean you'll reach a star. So lay down and close your fingers This is our one last chance To after all that's been between us Enact our parting dance. 'I feel like an animal, and I don't think that I get it. But one day I'll see you around.' |

Very good advise in this poem, and it's great to dissolve relationships by being friends. Very nicely done. |
