She hides behind a mask of lies, of sweet, inviting guile and no one even cares to ask what's behind that painted smile. She's good for more than just her beauty. No one seems to care. The boys all try to steal a kiss, but no one can, so they just stare. She doesn't want the attention. Everyone's coveted prize. She smiles a translucent, see-through smile and hides the pain inside. She's Magnetic Rose, the unattainable bloom. The one you all want, the one you can't have 'cause no one sees the truth. The one you would cherish, the one you would love. The one you all would flee, if you knew the lies, of the darkness inside. The one you would love yet despise. Magnetic Rose is me. The evil inside her is clawing its way up to the surface and out to the day. If you'd just accept her and open your eyes, she might find the strength to let you inside. I'm Magnetic Rose, the unattainable bloom. I'm the one that you want, the one you can't have 'cause no one sees the truth. The one you would cherish, the one you would hold. The one you all would flee, if you knew the lies, of the darkness inside. The one you would love yet despise, with the dark behind pain-ravaged eyes! I’m the one that you love to despise. Magnetic Rose is me! *It's kind of-maybe very-dark, but I liked it. They are the lyrics to a song that I wrote the other day.* |

This is a very poignant poem, showing the boundaries people set up around themselves, when in reality they want people to break them down. It is scary to take the first step in making friends. Well done! Mysteria |
