This is probably not one of my best poems, but i've been having writer's block lately, and i can't write anything good at the moment. Just tell me what you think What is this fear? That keeps me back Holding me Squeezing me It's suffocating To know The cause To know it's fear That gently Whispers In my ear That tugs my heart Pulling And pulling And its pulse Beats so much faster The grasp It has on me This fear What has it taken? For everything Every hope Every dream Now breaking This feeling To be afraid This fear That keeps me awake Yet nightmares Only nightmares Still haunting Still squeezing Suffocating Until I scream Only to haunt me Once again And forevermore This fear What is this? With God I am happy; sadness has no say in my life. |
