The world is screwed up Good guys Turn Bad People are dying Because of other people’s mistakes The world is screwed The world is screwed up Humans aren’t behaving humanely Beauty always over brains People take one look at others And either like them or hate them The world is screwed The world is screwed up Children die Starving Praying Wishing That their parents were humane The world is screwed The world is screwed up Burning our resources Like they could be replaced The world is screwed The first world shall end in fire, The second shall end in ice, The third shall end in floods, The fourth and final shall end in darkness and hatred. |

As twisted as it may be, the world isn't necessarily a bad place. It's the people. I like how your poem names much of the problems I see and hear of, but the focus is a bit broad (the world). It makes me sad that as we humans as both people (and a species) progressively decline, the Earth suffers. There is power in the pen. |
