You told me
Wounds will heal
Even on your heart
You will forget
And heal
So what I've done
Will only be temporary

But it’s untrue

The scar that replaces the wound
Is still a scar
In time the numbness
Will replace the hurt
But it will always and forever
Be a mark
A reminder
Of the hurt
Of the pain
Of the betrayal
Of everything
You've managed to get away with

You were my best friend

Your friends,
They tease my
More scars on my heart
The call my your
BFFN
Best Friend For Never
But I don't listen

It's when you call me
Names
That it really does hurt

Wait
Hold on
Don’t go yet
I have a thought
To share
And to be shared

Words can only hurt and scar you
If you let them

Who cares what you say?
Who cares what you think?
Who cares what you do?
