I'm sitting here in silence
and looking at the sky.
Promising and vowing that
tomorrow I won't lie.

That I won't deceive them
and take them for a spin
with my stupid need to hide
behind that godforsaken grin.

I'm so tired of being
the girl that never cries.
The one that's always happy
behind her pain-filled eyes.

So I'm vowing now to tell the truth
still knowing all the while,
when morning comes I'll meet my fate
with that godforsaken smile.

You have no idea how much i feel like this right now.. Right now i'm crying.. but i know as soon as i see somebody walking towards the front door I'll stop crying.. i'll smile i'll be nice.. I'll be the girl everybody loves.. But when they go again the pain just gets a little to much to bare.. and i'll cry again..

Haylee labeled me as the one that always smiles and I realized how true that is... even with every thing going on right now I'm still smiling...
just remember you don't have to hide behind that smile around me I can see right through it

this poem is great. its probably how many feel.
i know its how i tend to feel
the one who never cries.
the one who seems to always be happy because you hide your pain with a smirk.
yeah i do that alot. i think many of us do.
