It's one thing to miss
my volleyball games.
It's one thing to miss
my choir concerts.
It's one thing to miss
my drama performances.
It's another thing to
never have time.

It's one thing to be
busy with work.
It's one thing to be
busy programming.
It's one thing to be
making a living.
It's another thing to
never have time.

It's one thing to be
honestly trying.
To actually care
and try to make it.
It's one thing to be
trying to be there.
It's another thing
to never have time

For your own child
who tries so hard.
To make you proud
and be the perfect one.
But that same child
is falling fast.
My heart has shattered
and still I try.
And ask myself why
You never have time.

OMG this hits home soo much too.. man i felt this so bad.. they never have time.. it's always money, always everything but us.
