Lame title I know. But I was stumped. Haha. This poem was written for my friend Jamie. Hope it helps her see light in darkness. (Yes I know this isn't my best work. I just tried writing something) Enjoy?

I'll crawl out of the pit
That sank me into the deepest of my low
I'll swim my ocean of tears
that I filled up so long ago

I'll never forget the evil memories
The bitter, sad feelings that kept me going
Though they were my heavy stones of burden
I just felt the need to keep on rowing

Tune out the doubt that fills my head
Keep a smile when I feel I'm gonna fall
Hold me ground and keep pushing
Before I loose it all

Keep good memories close in my heart
Whisper dreams of happiness to come my way
Keep my candle burning in the storm
And protect my heart from decay.

Not your best, but I liked it!

The hardest part about writing poetry,
is trying not to write like everyone else.

It was a V.I.P. Very Inspirational Poem! It reminded me of when I was trying to be strong... You know the one I made -"I Made It" IT reminded me of when I was trying to get away from my demons and stop them from coming back into my life..... Very beautiful!
