staring at my phone expecting you would call it still comes as a surprise when i dont hear from you at all you broke my heart in pieces until i finally moved on and then you come knocking i havent seen you in too long you beg for my forgiveness swear you made a mistake you dont know how im hurting how much do you think i can take? we used to wake up at six together i'd send you off with a lunchbox note kiss you goodbye in my doorway in my red silk housecoat i brought up all the memories and made you feel the way i had what did you expect i'd do did you think i woulnd't be mad? you held me for awhile i cried into your shoulder i said you should go home I moved on, got a little older staring at my phone hoping you wont call as much as i loved you you're no good for me at all |
