I helped you in math class, that one Friday, Heard nothing from you, you never even answered when I asked you your name. I was your science partner, For 6 months, You never knew my name, And I didn't know yours. I stood up for you against those bullies, You never saw me, I got a broken arm, That fateful day. I held the door open for you, only and I felt invisible, To you only. You dropped your books, I picked them up, for you, Not a word said. Just last Tuesday, There was a gun massacre, I saw you alone with a boy, I was just walking past when I saw he had a gun, He held it up and I had only a millisecond to act, I took it, For, You. Just some free verse I did right now. |
