Stuck behind the glass,
screaming for any escape,
I can feel the tears running low.
I don't want to pretend again,
but I keep running in circles,
searching over and over for a way out.
Searching for a reason that will keep you.

I want to pretend a happy ending,
one where everything smiles.
But I can't live in my head forever,
My heart knows there's no stopping you.

So what do you do when autumn falls?
You can't run from winter.

I really like this! You ended the poem so well, too.

The hardest part about writing poetry,
is trying not to write like everyone else.

i think that this is a great poem. and i agree, you ended it really well.
