Written for a friend who recently lost their cousin through a very tragic accident. There may come a time in life Where his smile fades from view His voice thins to a distant still His eyes creep to dusky hue A sadness no words can prove Fills your every aching bone A pain so great it swallows you Leaves you weeping all alone No wish, no prayer, no pleading tear Can bring back what has now gone Not even an anger of fearful height Can bring back what’s been undone Disbelief at what’s been snatched away Is just the start of a brand new hell Fingers struggle to grasp a hold of the Face you’ve come to know so well There’s nothing now that you can do To reclaim what was once yours As a grief that no one should know Seeps with pity form your pores And it is at that moment then That you should turn your face And look up to the endless sky And remember him with grace Paint a smile across yours cheeks And sweep away those bitter tears He’s shining down with such a beauty That he’ll banish every fear Remember the days of many smiles That he spread from cheek to cheek His inspiration and his motivation That caused the words you now speak With every tear falls a memory Of a better place and better time Of his love, his life, his energy And the fact he lived his prime How could you forget his love Of adventure, life and vitality Taking every chance that spun his way And with a very right mentality There may come a time in life Where he fades from distant view But don’t forget your darling ** Is still smiling down on you. |

this is really good If your parents never had children, chances are you won't, either. |
