The Empty Diary:
An ordinary diary,
Complete with a lock and key,
But there's no use in reading it,
It's empty as can be.

Not one single entry,
It's blank on every page,
It just rests on the shelf,
Collecting dust with age.

Not one single word,
The pages are all white,
Not one speck of ink,
For there is nothing good to write.

All the memories are bad,
And stuck within her head,
So she won't fill the diary,
Until there's happiness instead.

The diary remains empty,
Happy memories are not made,
The bad memories are not recorded,
But they certainly do not fade.

Just a simple diary,
Complete with lock and key,
Filled with empty pages,
The diary of me.

It flows real nice.

The hardest part about writing poetry,
