The Girl Who Forgot: They told me my name, They told me my age, But the memories I had, Must be locked in a cage. I woke up from a coma, And I'd forgotten my past, And had a broken leg, That was covered in a cast. I don't recognize my family, Or remember my friends, This memory loss sucks, I sure hope that it ends. I have to find my memories, But I don't know where to start, Because now it's confusing in my brain, And empty in my heart. I read stuff I wrote before, And don't like what I read, I was so screwed up, That I allowed myself to bleed. Do I want my memories back? I'm really not quite sure, But if they don't return, I'll still be making more. Maybe they'll be better, And maybe they will not, But whatever happens, I'm the girl that forgot. And at the end of the day, I'm still the same old me, The only difference being, That I've no memory. |
