I wrote this one day after I was done daydreaming. Please post replies I need the encouragement. A careful girl I want to be A little sister follows me I don not dare go astray For fear she'll go the selfsame way I cannot once escape her eyes; Whate'er she sees me do she tries; Like me she says she's going to be- That little sister following me She thinks that I am good and fine; Believes in every word of mine. The bad in me she must not see- That little sister following me. I must remember as I go, Through summer's sun and winter's snow, I'm building for the years to be That little sister following me. |

Hi PBcookies'nmilk, I like this poem a lot. I am the little sister of four older siblings and I think that they did take care to help me and shelter me. Your poem reminds me of that time. I think she is a very lucky little sister. Do me a favor and tuck this away for her - some day she will treasure this poem. It's a keeper. Alison |

Welcome to pip!!! I really like this, and I can relate. I have a lil sis, myself. She loves to do everything I do, and wear what I wear, but she is such a brat, lol. The tips of my fingers |

What a treasure this was, and I wish my oldest granddaughter would take this advice, so I printed it for her. Welcome to Passions, you are going to enjoy it here. Beautiful rhyming - enjoyed your work. Carpe' Diem, |

wow.. great poem PBcookies'nmilk.. it reminds me so much of myself, except I have a little brother who looks up to me so much. Sometimes it's hard to be the good example when you know you're nothing that even comes close, but when you remember their face in the back of your mind, you know that they will keep you going as you continue to show them the good in you. my knuckles have turned to white, there's no turning back tonight ----- kiss me one last time [shut your eyes] |
