I get mad at people I get angry all the time now My head always hurts My back always hurts Im always lost I don't like where I live The people here are different Im ready to move on now Im ready to start a new life Im ready to leave The only person who meant anything to me passed away So its time to leave Time to leave my adoptive parents Time to go on a journey Time to find out who I really am Time to start blending in with my people Time to find a pretty girl Time to find that special someone I wanna find my Mom and Dad I wanna visit Korea I wanna be relaxed for once I wanna be able to let my shoulders down I wanna lower my guard for once I wanna leave I hate the people here They make me mad I always wanna fight annoying kids I always try so much harder to be normal here I always try to blend in I always dress ten times nicer I always try and look my best But whats the point when you cant find that special girl here Whats the point when you no your gonna end up with an Asian girl Whats the point when your the 1% minority in your school I put on a fake smile every day It isnt me though Its just a fake smile I have to put on When I really hate this place |

there is beauty everywhere....look around you, it will be found in what you least expect....I wish you happiness to find what you are looking for... ~~**~~ |

not knowing enough background for this poem, I would just like to say that it's not what goes on outside of you but what you hold inside that is important. Look inward, learn to appreciate what you do have in the adoptive parents ( if you are not being abused) and be content that someone loved and wanted you enough to help give you a life. When you are then able and capable of moving on, on your own, then do it. But don't COUNT on a girl or love to be what makes you succeed in life or for your total happiness. And if you really miss Korea, then work towards that goal and get involved with clubs or organizations that can help you reach that goal. Wishing you contentment... M |
