This is my attempt to free myself from a writers block...I hope you like this, because its all I have in me, lol...so yeah.

Darkness...
the unending silence among us
while we wait for the sunlight
that lights up the day.

I'm in a maze where I'm trapped,
never being able to grasp the rope
right above me,
so that I can climb out.

Darkness...
a feeling of self-regret
when nothing else matters.
Or does it?

I'm stuck in this hole
and as I scream for someone--anyone,
there's no reply.
How will I go on?

Darkness...
a tug-of-war every day
on the feelings that fight to
overcome my sane self.

I'm surrounded by people
who know nothing about me...
and do little to notice
how hurting I am.

Light...
the beam that brightens my day
in the darkest of tunnels,
while all those past struggles pull on me.

I'm finally free
from everything I've done.
I'm with my old friends,
and the family that loves me.

Here I can breathe the air
and fill up my lungs.
I can jump for joy,
and scream in excitement.

Thank you for helping me,
I owe it all to you...
I love you so much,
but I miss you too...
