What Is A Poem? What is a poem? Is it words, Is it lines, Is it the rhyme at the end, Or the beginning phase, What is a poem? Is it the phasing of the words, Is it the pattern of letters, Is it the pen you use, Or the paper its on... Maybe, just could be, But more than likely not. Its so much more, Its the fiery passion of the soul, Its the soul in your heart, Its the heart it your words, The feelings behind them all... A poem is so much more, Its your window to a soul, A view into someone's heart, They're dreams and hopes, They're nightmares and fears... So what is a poem? Its a way of life, For me, For you, Its our way of living, That's our poetry... |

This is in a way true. You may want to try and find different ways to say things instead of repeating words like 'soul' and 'heart' They become boring if used too much. Loved this. |

Ooh, Michaela you're critiquing a poem, thought you didn't like doing that Anyway, she's right, those words can get boring if used too much, but I really like this poem. With God I am happy; sadness has no say in my life. |

Yepyep Thanks guys, They just fit well when I wrote that one lol, But I do try to vary as much as possible. And thanks a lot Cherry you've been a big help since I joined here  |
