The Order of Things

You should understand the order of things.
Yet you chase after what you can't reach.

Simmering in tears,
you glower after what you once sought.
You're so caught up in the past
that you can't keep pace with the present.

Innocent and naive,
you bask in the radiance of your innocence.
You child.

Why not put away your toys; Your pride makes a mess.
And stop playing in the mud; Self-pity stains.

Why not grow up?
And apologize to her
before standing up to him.
