My rifle at my side, my sword in it's sheath Desperately needing something to revive me But never completely at ease Always prepared for the unexpected Running, hiding, and scared to the point that I can hardly breathe But never stopping to catch my breath A day's work is never done Always having to live life on the edge A life that is not certain to dwell in this harsh world Having to live, breathe, fight On shallow land where you are hated As is what you stand for But as it stands I will graciously sacrifice a precious gift That can never be redeemed At God's will I shall fight 'till death |
