I finally got the freedom That I always wanted- I am no longer a bird Locked up in a cage. I am no longer an animal Locked up in a zoo. I am a human being That is walking Under the clear blue Sky and the clouds Just getting swayed By the wind.- I am walking and Walking around my Neighborhood Looking at all These little kids Playing, jumping, Smiling, and running Which makes my heart Feel at serenity and tranquility- I take a deep breath Enjoying every moment Enjoying every bit of this weather Enjoying the beautiful scenery Just looking and wondering around And asking myself Why didn’t I enjoy everything full heartedly? Why didn’t I do this long time ago? What was holding me back?- I became more carefree I became free I can fly like a bird Carelessly Recklessly Because I will Still have bumpy roads Along the way and Get through every one Of them- I am jubilant I am exultant I got the freedom That I always wanted And I will never let it Go I am clasping it with my hands- Freedom is Written and hidden inside of My palms As if it was written for my Destiny |
