Figurative memoir/symbolism.

A shard of glass lays on the floor. Not many know where it came from, but secrets aren't a bad thing.

This shard catches light because of it's place. It catches the light and shines on places hidden by darkness. Other shards were cleaned up long ago but this one was left here for a purpose. Another secret kept from many.

When the light fades away people come and walk by, not noticing the glass on the floor. Some step on it and in return are hurt for their carelessness. You can't let the wind take your caution away from you. Your eyes need to be awakened because if you don't want to get hurt, you need to be aware.

This shard of glass lays alone as others are cleaned up.
