Isn’t it sad when we read about another teen suicide?
Isn’t it sad when we read about another baby who’s died?
Isn’t it sad when we think about all that we have lost?
If this is the price of happiness are we willing to pay the cost?

All this pain we suffer and we have to wonder who even cares.
We have to ask why we argue over whales and polluted air.
When there is so much suffering in this world from hunger and the cold.
How many taxes do we have to pay? How many times are our souls sold?

I don’t see why we let fellow humans die.
We need to do something other than stand by and cry
So I will be the first to stand up and shout
I will be the first one to remove any doubt

The time for action is now
So stand up with me and take a vow
We will stop world hunger by 2050
If a teenager can see the way
Why can’t she have her say?

Sadness, like happiness, has its own majestic beauty and must be embraced as a valid emotion, not pushed down as an abnormality.

So many important questions asked. Do you know, what is missing is unity. But unity cannot be formed without agreement. And as long as humans are selfish and self-serving with their own agenda's, such a dream cannot happen. Such a dream will not happen, such as world peace or care for the worlds afflicted, because men cannot be changed. They can only choose to be changed. Many choose not to, then the people seem to give these very ones the power to destroy, hailing a new hero or emperor of bloodshed. This human race will always seek to see itself destroyed. It will come very close someday, and only a greater being than man can stop it before it is complete. But ending hunger? I guess that's do-able. How do we start?
