A Candy Coloured Dress.

So it has been a ridiculously long time since i have posted. This one's not great but it's about someone very special to me. Enjoy!

There was a boy of just 15
and a girl of a little less,
that once believed the earth turned
for a candy coloured dress.

They often wondered to themselves
why they'd been put up on this land,
until one silent moonlit night
they walked it hand in hand.

The things they saw
they didn't see,
neither knew what more existed
outside of he or she.

The world had stopped
her heart had not,
you could say it all reversed
when the arrow hit the spot.

Some say it happened all too fast
but don't be fooled by their mistrust,
the magic of the moon that night
created something stronger than just lust.

You see the sun stole the night from them
and the road took him from her,
and well the days just kept on moving
and everything else became a blur.

But the magic never faded
it somehow grew every day
and though two hearts were broken
the pieces never strayed.

Today the world still spins
but her heart beats less and less
longing to return to him
in her candy coloured dress.
